Somehow, people do not understand what Agile is really about. We have been trained to believe that a detailed planning can solve everything, but we have to acknowledge our limitations. And that is a shattering experience for our ego, that many do not want to feel. Consequently, the unwillingness to recognize our own limits makes us dumb. To expose it, I will share an article about Agile by someone who has around 300K followers. You would expect an author with such impact to have conducted thorough research, so he can write about Agile from what it is supposed to be, but that hasn’t been the case. Yet, the article is a perfect example of a long list of bad practices, that many pass as Agile requirements, but they are nothing but dumb decisions. And the best of all, the author identifies all of them correctly as dumb.
