Uhm... I don't know, I've been using React for years and I never had problems. Yet, I must confess that I miss having some kind of automatic dependency injection mechanism to simplify (accelerate) some testing (until the point that I have done some of my own, and I tend to use contexts for that). And nowadays, I'm waiting for signals to break down a little bit the state.
