Looking for the Best Performant Programming Practice
TL;DR It is TDD. It is amazing how this simple practice has so many good impacts.
Activities with several good impacts
I start this post with the picture of someone reading a book because anyone would agree that reading is a good practice. But if you start asking why reading is good, you will receive many answers. The most basic argument that I listen is that books help to enrich the vocabulary. Another argument is that reading also teach you new things, so it opens new opportunities. In some cases, there are people (and arguments) explaining that reading helps to avoid brain deterioration and dementia. Other people will argue many other benefits. And if you ask anyone which one is the best, each one will have a different opinion, based on their perspective, and how it affected their lives. They may disagree in which is the most relevant good impact of reading, but all are true. And that is the beauty of reading, it has several good impacts in our lives.
