It's hard, but it's possible.

In the end, the experts on code are developers themselves. So, go ahead and seize the moment.

There is a whole world, with lots of bad practices, but also with sublime ones that can change all the perception.

My best advice is: go to the sources.

For example, I have heard a lot of myths about continuous delivery, I thought I understood it, until I found videos of David Farley and Jez Humble (the authors), and now I finally understand it.

Same for TDD or Agile, there are a lot of bad practices around, but if you go to the sources, like Kent Beck, Ward Cunningham, or Robert C. Martin, you will discover golden nuggets.

And so on...

I know, I am recommending going outside from Medium platform and reading other authors, but it is worthy. I joined Medium as a way to express my learnings, put order to my thoughts, and also, to share interesting things and points of views. But also, to help to improve us all. So, full throttle ahead on the runway!

PS: By the way, it is not always necessary to use one's feet. Sometimes, there is more room for change that it seems...
