Agree, it looks like that he was a kind of manager. Although, he was not a generic European engineer, but one in a high-profile German company. But, I thought to dismiss it in the beginning as well.

The problem is that the news stopped there, and I could see anything else about it. Not even if he really was imprisoned.

And the other point that I found relevant, is that the judge, who has no idea between the difference of a programmer and a programmer manager, considered him guilty despite the judge himself acknowledged that it was another assignment, not his initiative.

So, it really looks like something to be careful about.
