You did really surprise me. I read the paper a couple of times, and I do not remember anything like agile. I remember he saying that Waterfall, as it was previously presented, was probably not possible, following a perfect cascade, but instead, small loops between stages, with rollbacks and re-dos. Which is, in fact, one of the major setbacks for waterfall, so, somehow, he also agreed to that. But I remember nothing about, not even close, to Agile or Lean.

I have to re-read it.
